Each tankless water heater is especially designed to accommodate a specific range of incoming water temperatures and water use requirements for your house or apartment.
All you need to know are three things:
1. Your home’s electrical capacity (consult with a licensed electrician if uncertain and remember that upgrades to electrical capacity may be possible if needed)
2. Your typical daily hot water needs (how many showers, dishwashers, or other hot water applications you usually run simultaneously)
3. The average incoming water temperature in your area (based on the climate where you live)
If you have any doubt as to which model you should choose please choose the higher capacity one with the caveat that models 21 to 27 require 200 AMP service, model 11 and 18 150 AMPs and model 8 100AMPs.
